01. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all services and the use of the platform www.simplysitter.ch ("SimplySitter"), operated by SimplySitter, Baarerstrasse 43, 6300 Zug, Switzerland.

By using our platform, you agree to these GTC in their current version.

02. Nature of the Service

SimplySitter is a purely intermediary platform that connects households/families with verified household helpers and caregivers (nannies, babysitters, household helpers).

Important Notice

  • SimplySitter is not the employer of caregivers.
  • Employment relationships, wages, social security contributions, and legal obligations lie solely with the household and/or the caregiver.
  • SimplySitter only provides contact information and optional matching and booking features.

03. Registration and User Accounts

Registration is required to use the platform. Users agree to provide only truthful, current, and complete information. User accounts may not be transferred to third parties.

SimplySitter may suspend or delete accounts if

  • false information is provided,
  • these GTC are violated,
  • unlawful content is published.

04. Services for Families / Clients

Families can use SimplySitter to:

  • Search for caregivers
  • View profiles
  • Submit inquiries or make bookings
  • Leave reviews

All costs (e.g. placement fees, memberships, matching fees) are displayed transparently. SimplySitter does not guarantee successful placement or a specific quality of service.

05. Services for Household Helpers / Caregivers

Caregivers may:

  • create a profile
  • upload documents (CV, qualifications, references)
  • receive inquiries from families
  • accept or decline bookings

They confirm that all information provided is correct and that they are legally entitled to work in Switzerland.

06. Fees and Payments

Certain platform features may be subject to fees. Current prices are listed on the website.

Payments are processed via external payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal). SimplySitter does not store full credit card details.

Fees are non-refundable, except in cases of statutory withdrawal rights or technical errors.

07. Contractual Relationship

SimplySitter is never a party to the employment relationship. All employment law, tax, and social security obligations lie solely with the users.

User Responsibilities

  • Concluding an employment contract independently
  • Ensuring correct wage payments
  • Registering AHV/social security contributions
  • Verifying work permits
  • Arranging necessary insurance (e.g. accident insurance)

SimplySitter assumes no liability for compliance with these obligations.

08. Reviews and Content

Users may submit reviews. The following content is prohibited:

  • offensive, discriminatory, or false statements
  • untrue allegations or defamatory content
  • advertising for other services

SimplySitter may remove or modify reviews that violate these rules.

09. Prohibited Use

The platform may not be used for:

  • illegal employment
  • false self-employment
  • spam, abuse, or harassment
  • fraud or attempted fraud
  • uploading false documents

In cases of misuse, accounts may be suspended without refund.

10. Disclaimer of Liability

SimplySitter assumes no liability for:

  • the quality of services provided by caregivers
  • no-shows, cancellations, or disputes
  • damages caused by caregivers
  • the accuracy of information in user profiles
  • technical interruptions or platform outages

Liability exists only in cases of intent or gross negligence.

11. Data Protection

The handling of personal data is governed by the separate Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these GTC.

12. Termination and Deletion

Users may delete their account at any time. SimplySitter may suspend or delete accounts in cases of:

  • violation of these GTC
  • false information
  • misuse or fraudulent behavior

No legal claims against SimplySitter arise from such actions.

13. Amendments to the GTC

SimplySitter may amend these GTC at any time. The current version will be published on the website. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These GTC are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Zug, Switzerland.
